Respected master of ceremony,

And all audience

Bismillahirrahmanirrohiim

Assalamualaikum. Wr. Wb.

                First of all let’s  pray to our God Allah, Lord of the universe. Just for him we do worship and to him only we ask for help. Peace be upon our prophet Muhammad Sollallahu’alaihi wa sallam, the last messenger of Allah who has shown us the right way so we can live happily on the earth and the here after.

                I would like to say thanks to the MC who has given me this opportunity to speak and also to the audience. Then, in this good occasion I would like to talk about creating an English environment at school.

                As we know, English language has become the important thing for us, that’s why there is English lesson in the curriculum of junior and senior high school in Indonesia. Nowadays, English language has become more popular. It is because we as Indonesian civilizations must prepare ourselves to compete with all people, not only with Indonesian people but also with all people around the world. So we must be able to speak English, why? Because English is an International language, and Indonesia is an asean language if we want to communicate with all people around the world, we must use English language.

                So there is a question, what are the ways that will make us can be able speaking English fluently?  There are many answer for the question, but the most important thing is we, as astudent can create an English environment at our school. There are a lot of ways, but today I will tell you several of them.

                First, we must improve our English language ability. We can discuss with our friend in school about what we have read and it can improve our vocabulary and make our understanding of  the text  that using English deeper.

                Second, write down something using English, for example, we can write a short story, poem, our own biography, announcement, etc. Then we can discuss with our teacher about anything we wrote, or ask to our classmate “ is it good?” “give me your opinion about my written”. Then we ask him or her to make the same like we did and then each other or we can also use twitter, face book or other social media.

                Next step is we can improve our listening ability of English language in laboratory just listen to a dialogue using headset, or we can watch movie. Write down all of important thing they talk, try to answer any questions given with our teacher and discuss it with our friend in the school.

                The last one and the most important one is practice our speaking ability everywhere, LET’S USE ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE especially in our school. We can try to speak English with our teacher and discuss it with our friends or may be our principle .Don’t be afraid to practice, because ,because English needs practice.

                 I think those all enough, hope fully it can make us really concern at creating an English environment in our school.
